Business Need / Purpose of Role

Improve the overall quality of field service through mentoring of Service Techs. Will lead new system installs and dry stack ups at the districts. Must have a deep working knowledge of wellhead equipment and other interfacing equipment including service tools. Will perform Field Quality and OCP Audits.

Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

Objectives:

  • All requirements of a Service Technician III
  • Mentor Service Technicians in the field
  • Perform Field Quality and OCP Audits in other regions
  • Assist Engineering and U.S. Service Manager with design reviews
  • Assist U.S. Service Manager in review and writing of SOP’s
  • Assist U.S. Service Manager with Training Program
  • Help rebuild the culture in the districts and across the company

 

Measurements:

  • Perform minimum of two OCP Audits for all districts in an assigned region
  • Perform minimum of two Field Quality Audits for each Service Technician in the assigned region

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

Education/Experience:

 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or at least six (6) months experience with wellhead equipment repair and maintenance and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before

groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations, Special Skills: 

Good operational and maintenance knowledge of Wellhead equipment. Written and verbal communication skills.  Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts, changing work schedules.

 

Computer  & Other Required Skills:

Must be established an approved driver, and maintain appropriate driving record, in accordance with DOT guidelines.  Must have mechanical and hydraulic aptitude. Ability to operate high pressure torque wrenches, hammer wrench, jib cranes, overhead cranes, forklift and to do rigging work in a safe manner. Must be able to use power tools, hand tools, swing sledge hammer and use measuring devices such as micrometers, tape measure, rulers, scale and pressure gauges with chart recorder.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and inclement weather conditions.  High noise level shop environment. Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel toed safety shoes and safety glasses, in all areas of the facility.  May work with chemicals and high pressure equipment.
