Business Need / Purpose of Role

This position is responsible for bringing financial analysis and business judgment to bear on operating decisions across a group of regional service centers, with the goal of improving gross margins, reducing expenses and aligning resources with the company's strategic objectives.

Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

  • Reviews financial and operational performance, analyzes current and past trends in key performance indicators,  and drives performance improvements
  • Analyzing causes of unexpected variances and responds to executive management inquiries as needed
  • Produces annual budget and updated forecasts on a quarterly basis
  • Identify key business objectives and related operational and financial risks; review and assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls over these risks. Lead effort to resolution and successful implementation of corrective measures
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy, ensuring cycle counts are carried out on a regular basis and any scrap/warranty costs are booked on a timely basis
  • Directs, coordinates and assists customer billing & collections department in streamlining processes, identifying and correcting errors, and maximizing effectiveness
  • Responsible for all Capex related issues: budgeting, approval, project management, accounting
  • Regions Fixed Asset tracking, management and monthly reporting

 

Measurement

  • Deliver Financial Targets based upon Budget for Sales, EBITDA and working capital
  • Improve processes around quality, customer service and efficiency
  • Compliance and Financial Statement Integrity

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree with five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate must have experience in defining and making business and finance decisions and have demonstrated success in achieving superior financial outcomes. Must be detailed oriented, positive and professional

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Direct exposure with ERP systems, Microsoft Office
