Business Need / Purpose of Role

The purpose of the role of the Customer Sales Coordinator is to process customer Sales Orders for Weir Specialty Equipment parts.

Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities


  • Enter customer parts orders based upon order write-ups
  • Provide customer service in quoting and follow-up regarding parts orders, including acknowledging orders, transmitting drawings, providing reports and data per customer requests and informing customer of required changes
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Shipping to expedite orders
  • Review back order report
  • Initiate the RMA/Customer Complaint process
  • Problem solve and research the technical aspect of customer requests.

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Two or more years of customer service experience required (prefer experience in a manufacturing or mechanical environment).
  • Data entry, effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Understanding of domestic/international shipping methods preferred.
  • Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Must be self-motivated and customer oriented.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.



Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. 


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.


Computer Skills:

AS 400, Microsoft Office

Weir Specialty Pumps engineers, manufactures and sells pumps and related equipment for the Municipal Wastewater, Oil/Gas/Petrochemical/Refinery, General Industrial, Food and Beverage, Pulp and Paper, and Industrial Wastewater global markets.

Located in Salt Lake City, Utah, U.S.A. with 5.5 acres of site space that includes 150, 000 sq. feet of manufacturing and test facilities, and 30,000 sq. feet of office space, Weir Specialty Pumps is well equipped to handle the largest of jobs. Test capabilities include up to 750 HP (560 kw) and flows up to 50,000 GPM (11,360 m3/hr). Weir Specialty Pumps is also ISO 9001, ISO 14001 Certified, and OHSAS 18001 Certified. We also put great emphasis on lean manufacturing.

Weir Specialty Pumps products include the combined WEMCO product line, consisting of the WEMCO Torque-Flow recessed impeller pump, WEMCO Screw Centrifugal, WSP Self-Primer, WSP Chop-Flow, WSP Non-Clog, WSP Food Transfer, and the WEMCO Hydrogritter. Weir Specialty Pumps also sells the pitot-tube style Roto-Jet high pressure pump.
