    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    Plan, organize and manage multiple projects through the Weir New Product Introduction gated process. Manage cross functional teams; maintain engagement to deliver the agreed project deliverables, fully validated, on time and to budget. 

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Including but not limited to: 

    • Develop New Product Introduction (NPI) scheduling and planning for the launch of new products through the Weir multi gate structure
    • Facilitate multi-disciplined teams in the scheduling, planning and launch of new products and new engineering facilities projects
    • Create schedules for design and design verification efforts for new products, DFMEA, DVPR
    • Effectively diagnoses threats to on-time and on-budget objectives and steers team members to take appropriate actions to bring a project back on target
    • Creates and makes professional project presentations to the executive board
    • Supplier engagement to ensure agreed timing and cost in addition to engaging technical teams to realize potential improvements
    • Estimates project costs and project schedules including lead times for long lead purchased items
    • Facilitates Cost Management Programs and VAVA activities by leading and implementing the recommended improvements with the goal of landed cost

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience:
    Bachelor's degree with one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Language Skills:
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.


    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


    Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


    Computer Skills:
    Microsoft Word, Accounting, Database, Autocad, Solidworks and Sketch up Design, Power Point, Excel, Microsoft Project


    Physical Demands:
    The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Bend, reach, lift, carry, push and pull.


    Work Environment:
    Some travel, both domestic and international is expected in this role. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. In certain areas of the facility personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including safety glasses and steel-toed shoes, and ear plugs.
