    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    Uses analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes and product availability. Responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations that support SCM planning and operations.

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Including but not limited to:

     

    • Work closely with the Product Category Managers and Supply Chain team to develop tools that improve visibility and streamline the supply chain
    • Prepare reports and provides analysis to Supply Chain team and internal stakeholders as appropriate
    • Identify, analyze and create opportunities to improve the supply chain. This may include, but is not limited to, the identification of processes and controls to ensure data accuracy and consistency
    • Support Supply Chain team by monitoring and analyzing performance
    • Recommend and implement improvements and changes in processes and key performance indicators that drive customer service and overall effectiveness.
    • Build and execute Microsoft Access and SQL queries to investigate and analyze supply chain opportunities

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience                                                    

    • Bachelor's degree is required, ideally in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics, Business or a related field. Master’s, MBA, APICS or other related certifications are a plus.
    • 1 - 5 years of inventory planning, inventory analysis, inventory forecasting, supply chain analysis or planning, distribution planning, or a similar function
    • Thorough understanding of supply chain operations
    • Strong analytical skills specifically around analyzing historical trends, data mining and handling large datasets using Microsoft Excel and Access
    • High-energy, detail-oriented professional with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
    • Strong team play / participation with the ability to work in a self-directed, dynamic work environment
    • Ability to work with team members on all levels of the organization and tailor communication and message to audience

     

    Language Skills                                                     

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

     

    Mathematical Skills                                               

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

     

    Reasoning Ability                                                  

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

     

    Computer Skills                                                     

    • Extensive knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Experience in Microsoft Access and SQL is preferred
    • Experience with SAP is preferred
