Business Need / Purpose of Role

Assemble manufactured components.

Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Properly stenciling product assembly and nametags to Bill-of-Material and Specifications requirements
  • Ability to read and understand paperwork given to achieve desired assembly configuration and test results
  • Selecting, maintaining, and caring for assembly and test tools fixtures
  • To maintain company tools, as required to perform duties
  • Handling parts and products with care to avoid product damage or personal injury
  • Using all necessary personal protection equipment and care to avoid injury to self or co-workers
  • Reporting unsafe acts and conditions
  • Reporting all accidents and near misses to supervisor immediately

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications


High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work outside for short periods of time and is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be significant, as expected in a heavy industry manufacturing facility. Personal protective equipment is required in certain areas of the facility.  While performing duties this job may be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures.
