    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    Provide technology vision and leadership for developing and implementing Information Technology (IT) initiatives that improve cost effectiveness and business development. Will lead in planning and implementing enterprise information systems to support both distributed and centralized business operations and achieve more cost beneficial enterprise-wide IT operations. Achieve planned objectives to meet budgetary and non-budgetary measurements. The execution of this requires self-initiative and up-to-date knowledge of IT, products, systems and managerial expertise

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Including but not limited to:


    • Effectively manage the IT function; determine key priorities in the unit by maximizing the effectiveness of personnel equipment and system; measured by the degree of leadership and effective communication established in realizing goals and timing of implemented plans to achieve budgeted and non-budgeted goals; understand and comply with all department, company, government policies, procedures and regulations relating to product, legal, safety and reporting requirements


    • Ensures the continuous delivery and operation of integrated administrative information systems; develops and maintains an enterprise-wide business recovery plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of IT services in the event of a disaster; provides quality service to end users in needs analysis, solution recommendations, implementation, training and post-installation support


    • Responsible for coordination, facilitation and consultation with all staff on information systems and communication initiatives; Participates proactively with other members of management to develop strategic plans to optimize the use of IT in business objectives; provides leadership in finding ways to reduce costs through improvements, upgrades or modification of equipment and software


    • Develops and maintains an enterprise system architecture, defining standards and protocols for data exchange communication, software and interconnection information systems, develops and corporate IT policies and standards related to acquisition, implementation and operation of IT and communications systems; communicates thee plans, policies and technology trends to the organization; develops and enforces policy and procedure to ensure IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by SPM


    • Develops expense and capital budgets to achieve plant objectives and manages the function to attain these objectives


    • Maintains contact with IT suppliers and maintains knowledge of current technology, equipment, prices and terms of agreements to minimize the investment required to meet established service levels; ensures funds by administering the progress and preparation of data for appropriation requests associated with IT projects associated with IT projects including cost and benefits analysis, coordinate project reviews; assume the responsibility of assuring that projected results are met or exceeded; establish and maintain control of funds allocated to each project; ensues the establishment of meeting plans and time schedules for each project

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications


    Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; 6+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.



    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.



    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.



    The incumbent should have knowledge of the following software:

    Syteline ERP System, Microsoft Office Suites, Lotus Notes



    IT related certifications preferred
