Business Need / Purpose of Role

Field Service Monitors will be responsible for Weir SPM Field Equipment when on site; this includes field installation and removal of equipment; moving site, testing, monitoring, maintenance supervision, field data collection. In addition, strong communication skills are required; these include, field reports, service reports, issue reports, equipment performance reports, run data, stock records, liaison with customers, e-mail communication. These duties also encompass consumable stock control, parts identification, ordering consumables and returning used items to Fort Worth. The position is located through Texas and other US states.

Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

  • Install, Test, Commission, Inspect and Monitor Weir SPM Pumps and Flow Line Equipment
  • Condition monitoring using SCADA / PCM system
  • Troubleshoot and repair these products as required to the component level, and provide support to engineering staff and management as needed
  • Monitor to be carried out to specific desired level, with emphasis on consistency, detail and accuracy
  • Perform the above job requirements as needed at customer sites
  • Willingness to travel up to 40 - 50%
  • Strong writing / reporting skills required
  • Good verbal communicational skills desirable
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word would be advantageous
  • Ability to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities and to work cooperatively in team environment

Background check results satisfactory to Weir SPM with a negative drug test result(s)

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

Education/Experience:

Minimum, One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Military Services qualification acceptable.

 

Language:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills:

The incumbent should have knowledge of the following software: Microsoft Office, Excel Spreadsheet, and Word Processing.

Physical Requirements:

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

 

Work Environment:

Noise exposure is high, weather conditions can be extreme, health and safety considerations are high. (Examples: Large Diesel Engine driven Electrical Generator Units; large earth-moving equipment; Land Drilling Rigs).

 

H&S: Must be able to understand and assess risk, taking the appropriate actions and / or precautions. In certain areas of the facility personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including safety glasses, hard hats, steel-toed shoes, ear plugs and any other precautionary PPE that are deemed required.
