    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    The purpose of the role of a Warehouse Worker is to locate parts as per both internal and outside requests and sales sheets.  

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Objectives:

    • Uses sit-down and stand-up forklifts to safely stock and remove parts and materials from storage areas. 
    • Receives in-house manufactured items.
    • Inventories stored materials and insures count accuracy; stacks, marks and labels materials.
    • Packing and crating of materials to be shipped.
    • Loads and unloads truck trailers
    • Other duties as assigned.

     Measurements:

    • Contributions to cost reductions as outlined in the Personal Business Objectives
    • Maintaining Departmental budgets and quality

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Must have 2 or more years of forklift experience to include LP gas and stand up.
    • Must have 2 or more years of recent warehouse experience (within the last 12 to 24 months).
    • Must be able to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
    • Requires knowledge of basic computer skills, English, and mathematics to verify accuracy of invoices, orders, etc. 
    • Previous experience working with power tools (saws, drills, nail guns, etc.) is also required.

    Language Skills:
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

     

    Mathematical:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

     

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

     

    Computer Skills:

    AS 400, Microsoft Office
