Responsible for developing marketing communication programs from product launch through retirement of technologies and service lines for Weir Oil and Gas. This role is responsible for developing the positioning strategy and marketing communication program for new product and service launches through the creation and delivery of public relations, marketing collateral, brochures, promotional items, tradeshows, customer/industry events, and website content. Additionally, this role is responsible for working with product management to update marketing messages and collateral as enhancements are made. This role will monitor competitor technology launches and work with product management to maintain a competitive edge of Weir’s technologies.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing communication, business or related filed. At least 5 years of industry experience
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
The incumbent should have knowledge of the following software: Must possess moderate to high level of computer literacy in Microsoft office products, internet searches and internet navigation.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
