    The Internal Sales Engineer will be customer-focused on the Control and Choke Valve product sales for the Weir product range.

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Objectives:

    • To develop our sales and market share of the Control and Choke Valve product range.
    • Build relationships with customers, external/internal sales team and agents to work effectively and secure profitable orders.
    • To correctly interpret customer requirements, and to offer an appropriate solution from our Control and Choke Valve product range.
    • To ensure that orders are correctly entered into the SAP system once received, and arrange handover and/or kick off meetings as required within the time allowed in the contract delivery schedule.
    • To develop Key Customer Accounts in conjunction with Internal Sales Manager and Product Manager.
    • Visit customers if and when required.
    • To work as an effective team member by offering control and choke valve expertise and flexibility of cover and assistance to others when required.
    • To ensure that processes and procedures are followed in accordance with ‘The Way We Work’.
    • Any other duties that may be required to meet the needs of the company.
    • Participate in training sessions, seminars, and continuing development to stay abreast of new technical developments.
    • Support in budgeting and forecasting.
    • Support in the preparation and delivery of annual Input, Sales & Profit budgets in line with Weir product range strategy expectations. 

    • Ensure all work personally undertaken within WVC is carried out in compliance with current H&S rules and WVC safety systems, and is in line with the requirements of the WVC duty of care document. 

       

    Measurements:

    • Achieve year on year growth targets through the budget and forecasting process
    • Execute the specific sales plans and strategies to optimise existing and potential business
    • Recommend sales, product and pricing strategies
    • Maintain customer interface to increase sales to existing accounts and attract new

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience:

    Associates degree or equivalent preferred, with knowledge of business administration, sales and marketing or experience in valve sales with a proven record of increasing responsibility and achievement.

    Knowledge of the Oil & Gas and Power & Industrial market sector.

    Internal sales experience with a knowledge of valve sizing of control or isolation valves would be desirable.

     

    Language Skills:

    Excellent oral and written communication in English. Other European language preferred but not essential

     

    Computer Skills:

    Competent user of Microsoft Office packages

    Good knowledge of MRP Systems and SAP desirable
