    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    The Master Data Coordinator is responsible for accurately maintaining and analyzing the Item Master Data in SyteLine for Weir SPM. This position will work closely with Planning to ensure accuracy is maintained in the system.

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Including but not limited to:

    • Collaborating with Engineering, Planning, Sourcing, Production Control and Sales/Customer Service to gather needed information to create and maintain Item Master Data within SyteLine. (This Includes the Item Master, Bills of Materials, and Routings)
    • Assist with the Phase In – Phase Out control process for Items on BOM’s
    • Coordinate effort of the Planning and other groups to ensure new product integrations, and other large scale product changes are executed correctly in SyteLine. This will involve working with multiple departments to ensure accurate data is collected and entered into the item master
    • Maintain and communicate the procedures for new Item requests, or changes to existing items. (Item Master, Bills of Materials, and Routings)
    • Report and Track key metrics of Item Master Team Performance. (Open Tickets, invalid BOM’s, etc…)

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

    Education/Experience:
    Bachelor's degree with one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
     
    Language:
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
     
    Mathematical Skills:
    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
     
    Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
     
    Computer Skills:
    The incumbent should have knowledge of the following software: ERP/MRP Systems, SyteLine Preferred; advanced capabilities with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
     
    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Special Skills:
    APICS – CPIM Certification Preferred.
