    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    The IT Project Manager should have a strong background in IT infrastructure and ERP projects. This role will assist in managing technology projects from inception to implementation and post-implementation operational support. 

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Including but not limited to:

     

    • Excellent understanding of managing IT projects in the area of Infrastructure, Server Consolidation experience, and Software Development.
    • An understanding of VDI and Azure Cloud Hosting would be beneficial.
    • An understanding of Engineering PLM Systems and Digital Rights Management (eDRM) would be beneficial.
    • Screens all programs and projects for risks, issues and opportunities for sustainable improvement, understands the end to end impact along with cross functional impact, and formulates and implements solutions.
    • Oversees all project management phases, such as project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling and project closure.
    • Manages project teams, develops status reports and ensures compliance with requirements.
    • Coordinates activities of IT projects to ensure goals and objectives of these projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
    • Solid project management skills, having managed and successfully delivered multiple, complex projects on-time and on-budget.
    • Manage execution of project effectively by tracking and reporting overall plan and deliverable on regular basis.
    • Communicates the implementation plan to diverse groups of technical and non-technical personnel.
    • Responsible for maintaining customer expectations by delivering IT projects within the agreed-upon scope, schedule and budget.
    • Manages and prepares budgets and plans for all resources required for the projects, including personnel, equipment, applications, services, communications equipment, software and any ongoing systems support. Work with procurement teams to ensure project spending conforms to Weir procurement standards and guidelines.
    • Coordinates transition of completed project to service operations support teams.
    • Must exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills

    • Robust analytical and quantitative skills, as well as attention to detail.
    • Resilient in the face of competing demands and conflicts.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience dealing with high-level executives.
    • Ensure business change management impacts are documented and adoption plans created.
    • Support the evaluation and selection of vendors, service providers and technology solutions.
    • Experience with agile project management and Jira tool would be beneficial.
    • Support and drive PMO team continuous improvement efforts.

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

    Education/Experience:

    Bachelor degree preferred, with 6 or more years of experience in managing IT solutions and large IT programs. Experienced with agile implementation & water fall methodology

     

    Language:

    Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
