    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    The position of Inside Sales purpose is to analyze customer product needs and obtain orders for wellhead equipment and systems, in addition to coordinating successful product releases within established standards and priorities.

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Including but not limited to:

    • Promptly enter sales orders in Sytline, MFG or other compatible software
    • Preforms same day source planning on hook up and/or additional customer requirements
    • Ensures accuracy of open sales orders (commercial and technical), published customer discounts or net pricing and that orders do not contain obsolete or invalid part numbers and customer requirements
    • Prepares daily reports and monitors dates in accordance to actual customer requirements using the most recent information available
    • Establishes strategic relationships with new and existing customer. Provides reports on sale activity, sales forecasts and other quantifiable sales objective measurements to management
    • Seeks and identifies substitutions for quoted equipment that is not on hand/inventory. Utilizes excess or slow moving inventory within standard operating procedures
    • Effectively manages and utilizes customer property within customer requirements
    • Communicates changes and/or cancellations to customer requirements and delivery issues to supply chain and Supervisor
    • Maintains rig board to allow visibility of current customer requirements by active rig, equipment type, state preparedness and expected ship date
    • Proactively pursue compensation for expediting charges incurred through sales prior to manufacturing or shipping
    • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings
    • Ensure and secure adequate and proper back-up parts and equipment on service jobs and communicate accurate information to the Service Department
    • Provide input and assistance to other functional areas in order to improve processes and customer satisfaction levels 
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications


    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



    Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business communication, technical procedures, and company policies. Ability to write and business correspondence. Ability to effectively information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


    Computer Skills:

    Microsoft Office Suites, Lotus Notes, Syteline ERP system.


    Other Qualifications:

    Product Knowledge- Has good knowledge of wellhead products and their application in the industry.


    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


    Work Environment:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work outside for short periods of time and is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be significant, as expected in a heavy industry manufacturing facility. Personal protective equipment is required in certain areas of the facility.  While performing duties this job may be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures.
