    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    The SAP Business Analyst – Plan to Stock, works with business process owners and key users to analyze business requirements, to determine how to meet these needs with SAP solutions, and to support the implementation of the SAP Standard Global Template.

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Including but not limited to:

     

    • SAP expert in PP, MRP and shop floor operations
    • Business Process expert in Plan to Stock, knowledge of Quality processes, and MM an advantage
    • Analyze business requirements against SAP solution through fit/gap analysis for functional area (PP)
    • Coordinate identification of business gaps with business process owners and change management team creating Request for Change documents
    • Responsible for oversight of data migration in functional area, interfacing with Center of Authority and Data Manager. Guide data cleansing activities, data mapping and data validation.
    • Analyze user roles and support process of mapping users to global template
    • Participate in and support testing: integration testing, user acceptance testing and data migration testing
    • Lead training delivery in functional area for key users, and assist in end-user training delivery
    • Support go-live activities during and after cutover
    • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the Center of Authority personnel
    • Promote and maintain a flexible and cooperative environment
    • Complete special projects as assigned
    • Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
    • Ensure compliance with all Divisional and Group IT policies
    • Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and programs
    • Responsible for Environmental Health and Safety management and policy commitments as prescribed for this role in Weir’s Duty of Care

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience:

    Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Project Management or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years’ experience with SAP, as a business analyst or deployment specialist.  

     

    Language Skills:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

     

    Mathematical:

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

     

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

     

    Computer Skills:

    Database, Design, Development, Spreadsheet, Word Processing, Powerpoint, Visio, and Screen captures

     

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

    Certification in CPIM, APICS, and SAP business areas is a plus.

     

    Physical Demands:

    The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

     

    Work Environment:

    Work is performed in inside environmental conditions. Moderate noise.
