    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    As a Regional Sales Manager, you will focus on the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting to close, and will play an instrumental part in continuing to expand the Weir business in North and South America. You will guide customers in the mining and minerals processing industry to make the right critical business decisions for their future. The Position can be operated out of any strategic location within the sales territory. 

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    • Leverage key best practices to drive and successfully sell new business opportunities; build and effectively manage a territory of prospects to drive business development.
    • Strong focus on innovative solution selling to new/prospective customers and to existing customers to manage the relationship moving forward
    • Strong focus on Latin American part of the Sales Territory. Intensive travelling within the Sales Territory
    • Owe the sales budget and continuously and effectively develop project pipeline in the Sales Territory
    • Master and consistently execute Weir’s sales methodology
    • Collaborate with internal and external resources and networks to prioritize and penetrate new and existing key accounts; quickly build relationships with key stakeholders to drive business.

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree is required; Masters or advanced degree a plus
    • 6+ years of proven capital good and strategic innovative solutions sales experience in high technology
    • Ability to prospect and develop C-level and senior-level relationships within large global and regional enterprises
    • Proven experience building excellent client relationships, offering value added, insightful and strategic vision into their business
    • Knowing and mastering the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to close
    • Fluent in English and Spanish language. Knowledge of Portuguese is preferred
