    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    Drive company owned medium duty truck-trailer combination.  Apply knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver oilfield equipment in a safe and timely manner.

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Including but not limited to:

    • Drive company owned medium duty truck-trailer combination, while applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver oilfield equipment
    • Maneuver medium duty truck into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading/yard crews as needed 
    • Maintain driver log according to I.C.C. regulations 
    • Inspect medium duty truck before and after trips and submit report indicating truck condition 
    • Read Delivery Tickets to determine assignment 
    • Fasten chain or binders to secure load on trailer during transit 
    • Assist in loading and unloading truck 
    • Service truck with oil, fuel, and radiator fluid to maintain truck-trailer 
    • Assist with billing and JSA’s in the field
    • Inspect and inventory FSR or PPE trailers
    • Knowledge of SPM Products and Customer Requirements
    • Provides proper care and maintenance of all tools, trucks, trailers, and FSR/PPE trailers
    • Assists with customers as needed
    • Performs other routine duties
    • Complies with all Hours of Service Regulations 

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with a minimum of two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Language Skills:

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.



    Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.


    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of inventory, spreadsheet, and word processing software.


    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

    Must possess a valid and current CDL license and a clean driving record. Must be able to obtain Medical Examiners Certificate.


    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision and be able to pass a DOT Medical Examination.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel toed safety shoes, safety glasses, and fire retardant clothing on all locations.
