    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of pump and flow control products.

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Including but not limited to:

    • Establishes sequence and lead time for assigned work centers to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
    • Plans workflow for each assigned work center according to previously established customer requirements, safety stock requirements, and forecast requirements
    • Predominantly responsible for scheduling small component part job orders with intermediate complexity
    • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
    • Prepares production related reports, such as open order report and WIP aging reports
    • Assists in scheduling and managing Outside Process Manufacturing which includes the managing of purchase orders from creation to completion, drop shipments, and scheduling deliveries
    • Processes job completions, reviews open jobs, and troubleshoots delinquent jobs

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

    Education/Experience:

    Associate’s Degree with two (2) plus years’ related experience, or high school diploma or GED with four (4) years’ related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    Language:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of customers or employees of the organization.

     

    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

     

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

     

    Computer Skills:

    The incumbent should have knowledge of the following software: inventory software; order processing systems; and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (proficiency in Microsoft Excel).

     

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Special Skills:

    Knowledge of spreadsheet analytical tools as well as other MS Office applications. Analytical and problem solving skills.   Ability to identify and resolve production issues as necessary.  Ability to determine and communicate potential customer delivery dates. Lean manufacturing experience. Pull system experience. Exposure to APICS training. Exceptional interpersonal skills are critical. Self-starter, able to work with cross-functional teams. Strong time management skills that require little supervision. Ability to work under deadlines and focus on multiple projects with minimal supervision.
