    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    The Regional Sales Manager – Nuclear Products, will Lead, plan, and manage sales channels for assigned accounts in the Mid-West and West coast.  Achieve the overall goals of the organization by establishing and monitoring forecasts and goals, by recommending pricing strategies and by developing marketing materials.

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Including but not limited to:

    • Review of customer bid specifications for product applications
    • Evaluation of customer needs (including terms and conditions) for compliance with Weir standards
    • Meets with customers to identify opportunities, clarify requirements and close the sale.
    • Monitors and communicates order progress to Customers
    • Monitors new build and MRO opportunities and secures RFQ’s accordingly
    • Establishes and manages relationships with sales representation partners and other key industry contacts, keeping them abreast of new information and strategic direction.
    • Develops sales forecasts, performance goals and product positioning strategies.
    • Attends industry/trade meetings, promotes products and participates in sales/product training
    • Develops relationships and collaborates with other Weir organizations
    • Manages sales budget and ensures that sales/marketing results meet forecasted targets
    • Keeps WVC-USA Director of Sales informed of market conditions and opportunity status.
    • Creates and delivers sales/product presentations
    • Complete all other tasks as assigned
    • Adheres to all Company policies and procedures including health, safety and environmental.

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience:  

    • Bachelor’s Degree (BSME preferred) with 5 to 8 years’ experience in the sale of engineered products (valves preferred)
    • Strong background in the nuclear power industry preferred
    • Working knowledge of Codes and standards (e.g. ASME Section III, B16.34, etc.) and experience in the energy sector (nuclear power preferred)

    Core Competencies

    Language Skills:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


    Computer Skills:

    Microsoft office, Salesforce experience preferred
